| Art Institute Field Trip August 2010 |
Our fourth annual Art Institute Field Trip was a great success! Nine
young artists met at Christine Thornton's Art Studio to copy reproductions
of master works from the AI. Then we traveled into the city to see the
originals up close and personal. The group conducted a "scavenger hunt"
where we searched for everyone's "own" painting (and saw lots of
incredible art along the way). We enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the courtyard
beside a mermaid fountain (left) and visited Millenium Park before heading
