Christine Thornton's Art Studio
Christine is a certified art teacher (grades K-12) and children's book
illustrator who teaches art lessons from her home studio in Mount
Prospect, Illinois. Classes feature a wide variety of media and
subject matter, with an emphasis on creative problem solving so that
each child's unique style can shine through. Small class sizes (no
more than seven) allow for individualized instruction. Parents and
siblings are welcome to stay in the adjoining playroom during

Art Start (ages 6 - 12)
This session, Art Start will meet one hour per week for 7 weeks. Like always, Art Start covers a wide variety of media and
subject matter. This time around, students will draw "inside-out" fruits and veggies. They will paint small group murals using a
grid design inspired by artist Chuck Close. And they will use styrofoam printing blocks to print original snowflake designs.
Tuition is $80 for one child, and $10 off for each additional sibling. Special discount available for large families: pay full price
for three siblings and the fourth is free.
