Art Start
Art Start students learned about the Kuna Indians of Panama and their
beautiful art form called "mola".
Mola means "blouse" in the Kuna language,
because molas were originally made to decorate clothing, using layers of
cloth and stitching to form intricate designs.  We made our molas out of
paper, then stitched thread through the paper to add detail and texture.
