Veggie Gardens (Above and Below Ground)
Fall is harvest time! I filled the studio with interesting-looking veggies; some that grow below the ground (above center) and some above (above
right).  The young artists started their pictures with a "dirt line", then drew veggies of their choice from observation, with roots below ground and
leaves above.  They used imagination to add other elements in the background.  See if you can find ladybugs, worms, rabbits, butterflies, tunnels and
mice in the lovely garden pictures below.  The final drawings were colored with watercolor pencils and crayon.
