Art Start students learned several art concepts with this
drawing project.  First we drew butterflies in pencil,
copying from photographs and paying close attention to
detail, shape and proportion.  (sketch by Bobby, right) Then
we chose one part of the butterfly to enlarge and crop.  We
drew the cropped butterfly on pastel paper, then colored
with chalk pastels dipped in water.  (Ellie at left)
