Art Start
Evergreen Trees in Winter
Art Start students painted evergreen trees in winter.  The first day they painted three or more
trees.  They could be different shapes and sizes, with a choice of several shades of green and
brown.  The second day they painted the sky and ground.  We learned about horizon lines and
how to make trees look farther away or closer.  The third day, snow!  Snow in the sky, on the
trees, and on the ground.  Notice how each painting has its own mood and style.  It's always
exciting to see young artists come up with unique solutions to one design challenge.
