drawing program is for you. Using a Power Point
presentation, lively discussion, reference sheets
and a variety of books and figurines, art teacher
Christine Thornton teaches about five
mythological creatures and how to draw them.

"Design Your Own Comic"
ages 7 and up, maximum 30

Crazy for comics? Come learn about several
cartoon comics, including Garfield, Calvin and
Hobbes, Pokemon, and super heroes like Batman,
Superman and Iron Man. Then
invent and draw your own main character,
complete with a nemesis and a side kick.

"Create Your Own Avatar: Self-
Portrait Workshop"
ages 9 and up, maximum 25

Ever wonder what YOUR avatar would
look like? Join us for this exciting drawing
program. We'll look in mirrors to make
self portraits, altering them to transform
ourselves into virtual residents of Pandora.

"How to Draw Horses"
ages 7 and up, maximum 30

Horse lovers, come to this program and
watch your horse-drawing skills improve. We'll
see a presentation about horses, then we'll draw
from reference sheets, books
and figurines using pencil and colored pencil.

eerie drawing program as we learn about classic
creepy characters and how to

Manga is the hottest drawing style around.
This program will teach the basics of drawing
Manga faces: eyes, nose, mouth, face shape
and hair for both males and females. For the
more advanced artists, we'll introduce drawing
faces from different angles and Manga bodies.

Wayne Thiebaud's (“Teebo”) delectable paintings
of colorful desserts appeal to and inspire kids of
all ages. This program includes a PowerPoint
about Thiebaud and his work then students draw
their own “Sweet Treats”from observation.
